I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to some people in my life:
- The politicians and policy makers of this world for making me the independent thinker that I am and for providing me with an endless stream of information with which I am able to hone my powers of discernment.
- The marketers and advertisers who have helped me to come to the definite conclusion that the only person who gets to choose what I wear, eat, believe or buy, is me.
- The life style and psychology magazines and books, which proliferate the shelves of bookshops both on- and off-line, for demonstrating over and over that the only person who truly knows what’s good for me, is me.
- The Self-Help Guru’s, change masters and head space experts of the world who, through their powers to confuse and depress me, have shown me that life is actually very, very simple. Especially if I get on with it on my own, without their advice.
- My father for fostering my independent spirit and for helping me to extract truth from fantasy.
- My mother for giving me the chance to find out so much on my own and for driving me to forge a strong bond with my daughters.
- My daughters for helping me to discover that there are so many things to laugh about.
- My neighbour for testing my appreciation of peace and tranquility, on a regular basis.
- The man at the next table in the restaurant who reminds me that there is power in silence.
- The youth who races his car along my road for showing me how very glad I am when my kids and animals come home whole after a day of play outdoors.
- My kids and animals for helping me to identify – and take – a moment of rest, a precious moment or two for myself.
- My husband and kids for teaching me how to love myself.
- My clients for giving me reason to keep fit, mentally and physically. And for helping me determine what makes my heart soar and choose my projects more carefully, and accordingly, these days.
- To all the beings on Earth for coming into my space, sharing my oxygen and providing me with a reason to stop and consider life from another angle. Perspective is a wonderful gift and I am grateful to you all for the chance to have gained so much.
